An Extra-Ordinary Christmas “Jesus”

An Extra-Ordinary Christmas “Jesus”

“But we have this treasure in jars of clay, to show that the surpassing
power belongs to God and not to us.” 2 Corinthians 4:7

  1. POWER OF HOPE.
“Long lay the world in sin and error pining, ‘Til He appeared and the
    soul felt its worth.”

“And the world is passing away along with its desires, but whoever does
the will of God abides forever.” 1 John 2:17.
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever
believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not
send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the
world might be saved through him. 18  Whoever believes in him is not
condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because
he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.” John 3:16-18
“the thrill of hope and the weary soul rejoices, for yonder breaks a
new and glorious morn.”

  1. POWER IN THE REVERENCE OF GOD.
“Fall on your knees, O hear the angel voices! O night divine, when
    Christ was born!”
“Do not come near; take your sandals off your feet, for the place on which
you are standing is holy ground.” Exodus 3:5

2
“And Moses said to the LORD, ‘The people cannot come up to Mount Sinai,
for you yourself warned us, saying, ‘Set limits around the mountain and
consecrate it.’” Exodus 19:23

“But I, through the abundance of your steadfast love, will enter your house. I
will bow down toward your holy temple in the fear of you.” Psalm 5:7
“Led by light of a star sweetly gleaming, Here came wise men from
Orient land. The King of kings lay thus in lowly manger, In all our
trials, born to be our friend! Fall on your knees.”

  1. POWER IN LOVING OTHERS BETTER.
“Truly He taught us to love one another; His law is love and His
    gospel is peace.”
“Chains shall He break, for the slave is our brother; and in his name
    all oppression shall cease.”
“For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ.
28  There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is no
male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.” Galatians 3:27-28
“Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.” 1 John
    4:11
