The presence of the Holy Spirit

The presence of the Holy Spirit

“I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you.” John 14:18

“But very truly I tell you, it is for your good that I am going away. Unless I go away, the Advocate will not come to you; but if I go, I will send him to you.” John 16:7

When We’re in the Presence of the Holy Spirit

  1. HE CONVICTS US OF OUR SIN

“When he comes, he will prove the world to be in the wrong about sin and righteousness and judgment.” John 16:8

“The churches in the province of Asia send you greetings. Aquila and Priscilla[a]greet you warmly in the Lord, and so does the church that meets at their house.20 All the brothers and sisters here send you greetings. Greet one another with a holy kiss.” 1 Corinthians 16:19-20

“And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.” Ephesians 4:30

  1. HE CONFIRMS OUR SALVATION

“The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children.” Romans 8:16

“And you also were included in Christ when you heard the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation. When you believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, 14 who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God’s possession—to the praise of his glory.”

Ephesians 1:13-14

  1. HE COMFORTS US IN OUR TROUBLES

“And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever.” John 14:16

“Do not quench the Spirit.”

“Do not extinguish the Spirit.”

“Do not put out the Spirit’s fire.”

(1 Thessalonians 5:9)
